D/O Peter and Susan Anderson Shaver. Wed Charles C. Davis August 8, 1819 in Fulton County, Arkansas.

No stone found or is illegilbe. So sorry Granny. I tried to find you. I am sure you are buried close to your daughter, Amelia Davis Helms.

About 2 1/2 miles west of Seymour, Missouri on Highway 60 you will come to a road on the left that goes across the railroad tracks. This road is called Box Schoolhouse Loop. It curves to the west. About 1/2 mile down this road is a white stucco house on the right. There is a farm across the road from this house and a gate to the right of the west fenceline of that farm. This is on the south side of Box Loop. Follow along the west side of the west fenceline to a grove of trees and you will find the cemetery. Make sure the gate is closed as this is a dairy farm. Another option: You can go west another 1/2 mile on Box School Loop and come to the Bob Cook Dairy farmhouse on the left. They can show you how to get to the cemetery.

Box School Cemetery, Seymour, Webster County, Missouri, USA

General Notes: Wife - Ruby Margaret Ryles

Almost 100% positive Ryles was her maiden name. She married Allen T. Lucas first and they had a son, Charles Thomas Lucas. The Marriage License article in the Indian Citizen newspaper of Atoka, OK dated Thursday, March 19, 1925 stated "Allen Lucas, 12, Stringtown and Miss Ruby Ryles, 18, Stringtown". Don't know if Allen's age (12) was accurate or a misprint. Later records, i.e. Charles Thomas' draft card and his FindAGrave page, lists his mom as Ruby Margaret Crawford.

After finding all three on FindAGrave with proper birthdates, I think both ages on the Marriage License article were incorrect. -DMH

General Notes: Husband - James W. Crawford

JAMES W. CRAWFORD, treasurer of Henry county, was born in Barbour county in 1844. He was the eldest in a family of twelve children born to Nicholas W. and Lindsey W. (Hays) Crawford, and is a brother of A. C. Crawford, present mayor of
Dothen, whose memoir appears elsewhere in this work.

James W. Crawford grew to manhood on his father's farm. At the age of eighteen years in 1862 he enlisted in the Confederate service as a private in company H, Fifteenth Alabama infantry, commanded by Col. William C. Oates. He was assigned to the eastern army, and participated in numerous skirmishes, and fought at the battle of Gettysburg, being taken prisoner July 30, 1863. He was at first taken to Fortress Monroe and shortly after to Fort Delaware, where he spent the remainder of the war, not being released until June 15, 1865. During his prison days he managed to collect some money, which upon his liberation served a good purpose.

He in company with a number of others had to work his way home as best he could. After experiencing many hardships and a long circuitous route he reached Eufaula, July 2, 1865. Here he bought a good suit of clothes and made his way home. He was now in his twenty-first year and decided to attend school, which he did for three months. He then engaged to manage his fathers farm and did so for seven years. At the end of this time he began farming for himself and thus continued, till January, 1891, when he moved to Abbeville and bought a choice lot, on which he erected a large and commodious residence, and is now engaged in educating his children.

In 1876 Mr. Crawford was elected county commissioner, serving seven years. In 1888 he was elected county treasurer, which office he has filled up to the present time, to the general satisfaction of the public. He also filled the office of township superintendent for a number of years. He owns and manages a farm of 1,000 acres, upon which he has the best improvements, including a number of tenant houses.

In 1880 he embarked in the mercantile business at Lawrenceville, with a large stock of general merchandise, continuing
thus engaged two years. He then moved his stock of goods to his store building on his plantation, and has continued it there up to the present time. He has on his farm a steam saw-mill, grist-mill and cotton gin, which are valuable
adjuncts to his farming operations. Beside all this he has invested in property at Dothen.

In 1890 he bought out a fine business and erected for its accommodation a fine brick block. He also owns a number of residence lots. Mr.Crawford was married December 7, 1869, to Miss Anna Hays, daughter of Calvin and
Mahala C. (Whitehurst) Hays; who was born in Henry county, and is the mother of eleven children, nine of whom survive: Everett C, single and living at home Lou E, Lindsey J, Albert N, Curtiss W, James W, John L, Coda A, and Jessie O.

The mother of these children died February 1, 1892, at the age of forty-three years. Mr. Crawford, by careful management and by following correct business principles, has made his way to wealth, and, is a representative business man of
the community, in which he has risen to the top.

CTI1 US NAVY - Burial Details Unknown

Patrick (Pat) Earl Hydrick died in Murfreesboro, TN on January 11, 2018 from chronic kidney disease. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was well known as a patriot and intellectual with a dry sense of humor. A very avid reader, he could tell you the origin of words most of us could not even pronounce and any known detail about Abraham Lincoln. A compassionate soul, Pat not only loved his family fiercely, but he was also a faithful supporter of many causes and institutions such as Disabled American Vets and the Shrine School in Memphis, which he attended as a child. Pat served in the Navy for eight years during the Vietnam and Cold War periods. He was twice awarded Sailor of the Year among all enlisted US Navy personnel.

Born in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, on April 20, 1948, to the late Jack Dempsey Hydrick and Martha Ann Hydrick, Pat grew up in Memphis and graduated from Overton High School and Memphis State University. Pat married his childhood sweetheart, Linda Crawford, with whom he recently celebrated fifty years of marriage.

While serving in the Navy, Pat attended Presidio of Monterey Defense Language Institute, studying German and Russian. As an interpreter, he was stationed in Germany and Turkey, and participated in assignments across Europe with the Naval Security Group. Following his military service, he became a CPA and data analyst, and retired as comptroller for PACE International Union in Nashville.

In addition to his wife Linda, Pat is survived by his sons, Jack (Melana) and Justin, and three granddaughters Isabelle, Caroline and Kate, all of Murfreesboro. He also leaves his three sisters of Memphis: Kathy Crawford (Tommy), Hilda Presley (Danny), and Nancy Schiller; in-laws Cathie Brutcher (Charlie), John Crawford (Janet) and many cherished nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Hydrick Rhea.

A family celebration of his life will be held in Cape San Blas, Florida, one of his favorite summer destinations enjoyed by his loved ones.
