This page is to document any changes/updates that I make to the webpage so the reader (explorer?) doesn’t have to guess at what exactly, if anything, is different from the last visit with the latest updates at the top. NOTE: remember that FAG stands for FindAGrave.com and FSID stands for FamilySearch.org ID

In Feb/2024, I changed Domain registration and secured an SSL certificate to make this site secure. As of the last April update, I will remove the bottom most update as I upload new ones to keep this page a manageable length.

In July/2024, I did a complete overhaul to re-organize the data which resulted in 35 families per page instead of 30 also resulting in fewer pages. Had to re-link 930 photos/or obits/news articles. (See April 6, 2025 note below)

Also in July/2024, I started adding non-blood (dna) relationships in the notes. They show how the relationship to me exists (through marriages) and, in most cases, are humorous. For example, see note for John R. “Johnny” Cash.

30 May 2026: as I was going through the pictures to find captions to include, I finally decided to try the AI function that the Internet Provider offers. I tried it because some of these OLD pictures were hard to really get an idea of what the people looked like. So, I enhanced some starting with the P-alphabet as that’s where I was with the captions. The thing is, once I enhanced the picture, I had to delete the old one from the server, so if anyone was one the website, they would have seen that some pictures were missing. Don’t worry, I saved the old pictures on my computer. I decided to go ahead and upload what I had before June 1 (it’s a long story). I didn’t have time to get all the captions uploaded. June will be a busy month as I’ll be 1) starting with the A’s (alphabetically) enhancing pictures that need it; 2) uploading the captions along with that and 3) uploading all the data updates that I’ve found.

NOTE: My update notes seem cryptic because they are the ones I use to make sure I upload every bit of data I find to this website…also to preserve a little space.

3/29/2026: I updated later in this month as I’ve been busy creating tables, where needed, and making corrections which I began last month. This is a tedious task but I’m getting there. I might be completed with that in the next month (or two). In doing this, I came across many records that could be added to, so I do have some to report. 2/3/2026: Not many updates this month. I’ve started going through every page, every record checking for typos, mistakes, bad links, etc. As of today, I have gone through 50% of the pages. 1/11/2026: Happy New Year!! If you’ve kept up with these updates, you’ll remember that every year I do a revamping of the database and website. This is a reboot, or shakeout (technical terms-ha) to catch hopefully any mistakes I’ve made through the year. Today’s update is the result of this. Because I’ve been updating basically a month ahead, this one is actually for December. I left it at 45 families per page but that increased the number of pages by three. The recap below is not everything as I was very lax in recording all changes for time savings. So the stats are under-reported (but not by many). They are: 71 new records, 54 pics, 68 FAG and 167 FSID. We are now over 12,000 names and 1973 total pictures/obituaries/certificates, etc. I’m pretty sure I got all the pictures reloaded and now I have to go through and redo the custom formats I had done. This is the disadvantage of revamping as I lose the customizations and the picture links. It took me from 1/1 until today, 1/11, to get all the pictures re-linked.

9/13/2025: A couple of things of note; I added another link on the home page which is a rather long bit of information about Big Red Hydrick of Rankin County, Mississippi, one of the most notorious and infamous characters of Mississippi history. Secondly, I added to the note under Annie Odessa Hydrick’s record. As you know, she authored the Old BIg Grandma book which is linked on the home page as well. The extended note includes letters and notes that she used in researching for the book. Some of it has been disproven but I thought you might be interested in her efforts. Lastly, in the month of August I added 21 pictures which got us over 1800; 17 new records and a total of 72 FAG & FSID links.

4/6/2025: Did my annual (?) major revamping. Took three weeks as I had to upload almost 1700 picture links. I’m now starting with 45 families per page (up from 35) which cuts down the number of pages. Don’t know if that’s an advantage or not. As I modify pages this year, mostly from adding new records/families, then I obviously have more than 45/page. My annual shakedown also finds any errors I’d made. So far in April, I’ve added 16 new records, 7 pictures, 8 FAG links and 10 FSID links.

12/18/2024: This month has been “something else” and Christmas isn’t here yet! One website found many errors in my data; e.g. children being older than their parents, etc. So, I’ve been making corrections which are complicated especially when you have to change someone’s parents in several different places while reassigning the incorrect parents (in several different places). Then, today, the website was down for several hours and WordPress support and I looked for the reasons why. That’s corrected as you can see. Lastly, I found a way to upload Relationship Charts to the website, so expect to see many more in the future. This month I’ve uploaded 64 so far, mostly Hydrick, Phillips and Foust.
